Lambda to AFR Conversion Chart Shop Banner
Make sense of lambda without stopping to do the math. The Graveyard Fabrication Lambda to AFR Conversion Chart Shop Banner puts a practical fuel-conversion cheat sheet on your shop wall, with 20 fuel references and 340 calculated AFR values in a clean black-on-white layout.
New to tuning? Start with lambda, find your fuel, and read across to its air-to-fuel ratio. The highlighted lambda 1.00 row shows each fuel's stoichiometric reference, helping you understand why the same lambda can mean a different AFR with a different fuel.
What the chart covers
- Everyday references: nominal gasoline, ethanol, methanol, and Sunoco E85-R.
- Estimated ethanol blends: E50, E55, E60, E65, E70, E75, E80, and E85.
- VP Racing fuels: C12, T4, Q16, and MR12.
- Sunoco race fuels: 260 GTX, 260 GT, 260 GT Plus, and HCR Plus.
Lambda rows run from 0.40 to 1.20 in 0.05 steps. Main conversion numbers are approximately 3/4 inch tall at the intended print size; fuel headings and reference notes are smaller.
Choose the layout for your shop
- Horizontal: 72 x 24 inches (6 x 2 feet), with four tables side by side.
- Vertical: 24 x 72 inches (2 x 6 feet), with four tables stacked upright.
Both layouts contain the same data. Each order includes one banner in your selected orientation, sized for a garage, tuning bay, or workshop wall.
Built for display

Conversion reference, not tuning targets
Lambda 1.00 is stoichiometric, not a recommended power or operating target. This chart does not define a safe tuning range or replace engine-specific tuning guidance. Gasoline is a nominal reference, not a specific octane rating. Ethanol-blend values are estimates; actual fuels vary. Confirm your exact fuel specifications and wideband display scale. Gasoline-scaled AFR is not the actual AFR for every fuel. This chart covers the listed references, not every motorsport fuel or blend.
Care: Spot clean with dish soap and warm water. Use non-abrasive, non-ammonium-based cleaning products.
